Herd Genetic Reports

Available to all milk recording herds and utilising data accumulated by AHDB, a herd genetic report provides an independent assessment of the current genetic status of the herd, allowing within herd comparisons between youngstock and different lactation numbers, as well as between herd comparisons with other similar herds in the UK. If you are conducting genomic testing on your youngstock then this will also filter into your herd genetic report.

This service allows us to provide independent genetic advice appropriate for your farm, including what heifers should be kept as replacements or as a minimum bred to sexed semen, or what bulls to use to achieve your goals and to maximise your herd’s potential. Breeding companies will often help you manage these decisions with their own bull stud. However, why not assess their advice against all bulls available across multiple studs?
